Slave output?

So I now have a Mesa M pulse 600 head and it has a slave output. From reading the instructions and talking to others people briefly about it, I am under the impression that you can hook up another amp head (and cab through that 2nd head), and it takes the preamp's signal as an instrument signal.

Am I way off here?

Btw I wanna thank all the TB forum guys for helping me out on all my amp problems, I've learned so much already haha it's great.

Yes but I think you'd go in the 2nd amp thru the effects loop return or preamp input, rather than the instrument in.
