Slightly confused about this, GK400RB head

While reading my manual for the head, I read something that confused me for a second. So many someone can help me make since of it.

2-240w Jacks:
240W power amp output for Full-Range operation
only. They deliver 240 watts into 4 Ohms. Lower
impedances should not be used. Each jack has a
minimum of 8 Ohms each. Higher impedances such
as 8 Ohms, 16 Ohms, or No Load are acceptable. No
damage will result from operating the amplifier with
the speakers disconnected.

So, does this mean I need to use both jacks to achieve 240 at 4 ohms? I'm using this head into an Ampeg SVT610HLF. I'm also using the 1/4th to speakon if that matters.

I can see how the wording of the manual could be confusing.

"Each jack has a minimum of 8Ω" only if both jacks are used at the same time. If you're only using one 4Ω cab, the amp will see 4Ω using only one jack. Don't use both unless you're using two 8Ω cabs at the same time.

You could also still just use one jack if you ran the speaker cable from the amp into one 8Ω cab, and another from that cab to a second 8Ω cab, the amp would still see a 4Ω load.
