slot or circle port?

Any difference? Is either one theoretically superior to the other?

I'm leaning towards circle ports b/c it would take a bit of weight off (just a few lbs though), but I'm willing to take the extra bit of weight if the slot port is the better choice.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

They function identically unless the slot is very narrow.
