Small rig

Hi!
I'm a new member so this is my first post

Im currently looking for a smaller rig for medium sized gigs with my soul/reggae band. I play mainly on a P-bass with flatwounds so I don't need hi-tech stuff with brightness and all that.

I'm also on a tight budget, so the price tag should be about 800 $ tops.
Any recommendations / thoughts?

This is a great weekend to look around at the Mega-Music Stores. Guitar C. and the others should have a good stock used stuff to sell. Your $800 budget is more than enough to score something good. On the new side , I like the Fender Rumble and the Hartke line of products. Your budget should get like a 350 watt head and a 410 cab or a 210cab with a 115cab.......With me, the head is first but everybody is different..................................

Thanks for the advice! I tried a Hartke HA 3500 through a VX 410 cab and it sounded great!
