Smaller amp, or different car?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have been trying to sell my rig , a 2x10cab, a115 and a rack because it's kind of a pain to load in my car and i don't usually need all of it. While a 2001 Buick Century is a big car, it's basically useless for shlepping gear! Plus i basically dig my amp, although GAS has set in since i've thinking about selling it.

So - smaller amp, or different car?

Both. Get a MarkBass 2x10" combo, and a Mazda 3 (6-speed manual= best option)

Done and done

Tough call, but whatever you do, don't end up where this ... person is.

can you recommend me a new (and much smaller) bass rig for under $2,000?

My entire stack fits in the trunk of my 06 Mustang. TC Electronics RH450 and 2 210 cabs. It's beautiful. Back seat can take several basses, a cart, gramma pad, and a couple bass stands with room left over and my girl in the front seat. Awesome rig into favorite car = win/win. Can't beat that!

I used to have Nissan Maxima(s) and always fit my 4x10 in the back, later on, my 2x12 and a 115. When it came time to get another car (the Maximas were ones I got cheap from a family member, and the price was more than right), it was finally time to get a car that actually worked for my gear, not just something that I could cram it in.

I ended up with a GREAT gear car, and have no regrets...turns out if its great for gear, its great for all sorts of stuff.

I have an Accord 4 door. It's fun, a family car, and a pain in the butt for moving gear! My Bag End 410 will barely fit in the trunk. My TL606 based cab will get in there, barely. An 810E will lay flat across the back seat, actually. My 4x6 and 2x8 cabs are a dream though.

On the other hand, the 2005 Civic Si hatchback could fit 3 810E's and more in the back with the seats down.

If you're a loyal Buick fan like me, just save a bit and pick up a Lesabre or Park Avenue. A good bit more room than the century, more motor under the hood, and just as good if not even better gas mileage.

Is this really a serious question? Way easier to unload your amp.

I can fit 2 2x10s (avatar or peavey tour 210) in the trunk of a chevy malibu pretty easily, along with a 4 slot SKB rack. I vote ditch the 15 and get another 210. Maybe downsize the rack if necessary.

How many sides does an origion have? I'm guessing 13.
