Which "smaller" cab?

Ampeg SVT CL and U.S 810. But want a 410 for smaller gigs. Would you stay 'peg and go 410 HLF or a 4 ohm Mesa Boogie 410?

I actually prefer the 410HE. The 810 cab is basically made up of two 410 chambers. The 410HE has sound that is closer to the 810 than the HLF.

HLF has huge lows due partly to the porting. The (typical) Ampeg 8-10s consist of four completely isolated 2-10 chambers, unported.

Correct the 410e is closer to the 810 in tone, but at 8 Ohms you shouldnt run it with an svt-cl.

+1 410he is the "half an 810" cab, but 8 ohms, so poor choice. Any 4 ohm 410 you like will work, preference.

IF budget isn'ta huge concern Reeves makes a sealed 4ohm 4x10. SWR makes the Marcus Miller Golight sealed 4 ohm 4x10.

I have seen quite a lot of SVT's blown up by trying to do a gig with just one fifteen, if anything goes wrong at all you loose a lot more than the voice coil. The SVT produces 300 watts clean and it sounds good with quite a lot of power amp sag so it might still be sounding amazing at 401watts until sudden silence, except if you really listen carefully you will hear the bass sound very quietly coming from the amps output transformer for a few seconds then, absolutely nothing.

Tb'er Anderbass has personal experience with the Hathor 1x15 and his SVT, he would be more qualified to speak on that matter.
