In a recent trade, I got a SVT-CL in great condition.
Hooked it up to my Berg HS410, and sounded quite good, but not the magic of the 810 fridge.
Now I'm not even sure I'm gonna keep the SVT-CL. It does sound great, my best amp, but I have lots of Markbass gear that sounds very good too, and In the mix, on stage, sound as good as the SVT.
If I keep it, I'm gonna need a cab that can do the Fridge sound and feel, but I don't want to go back to huge gear. I've gigged the head once, and was not trilled to carry it around (compared to my LM2, F1, etc...)
So, suggestions on a Fridge clone, but way smaller.
Thanks

A pair of sealed 2x10s vertically stacked would come close, and they would have better dispersion. |

I'm running two, 210 cabinets stacked as a vertical 410 powered by a 500 watt micro head that is LOUD and full.
Is it as big and loud as the two Ampeg 810 cabs I used to drag around "way back when"...No sir's, it's realistically not,
but as Billf said, it's a close substitute. |

Some will, as they see em as backlines on tv, like many generations before... |

One other important part IMO is that the fridge is a closed cab with a relative high Q and Fs.

Bergantino's 6x10 sounds a lot closer (better actually) to the original fridge. Also, any good sealed 4x10 will be a closer match than Ampeg's 6x10, which is a ported cab... |

I'll stand corrected, A sealed 610. |

The sound is very close to the fridge, not as much low lows, but the fridge cabs never really had low lows either. |

Never tried the SVT210AV but it seems like a good suggestion, only downside is having to haul around two cabs.
Reeves also makes a sealed 410, perhaps that would come close as well.
I would very much like somebody to market a tall and narrow staggered driver sealed 410! |

I've thought about the ampeg svt210av, but they are not sealed and are only rated for 200 watts... i'm worried about blowing them. |
