So i sold my PA....

...and now i'm in the mood to get some new cabs!! I'm in love with, and sick of, my 6x10. i love the tone, it's just so fat, but.... i can't lug this around anymore. So i'm looking into getting 2 2x12's or a 2x12 and a 4x10 (maybe). Anybody here use a GK 800RB with 2 2x12 cabs? i'm very familiar with a sealed 8x10, my ported 6x10, and other 4x10 cabs i've owned in the past.

I guess i want the punch of a sealed 8x10 with the portability & flexibilty of a couple 2x12's. Is this possible? I was looking in the direction the GK NEO stuff, however i have never used that brand of cab. My local GC is horribly lousy for anything bass. it's not worth going.

So anyone used an 800RB with 2x12's? different brands possibly? lemme know!

i searched, it was not really the info i wanted.. thanks much..

Try Bass San Diego at 6255 Ferris Square Ste. E, San Diego, CA 92121. Phone: 858 550-0300. Here's their amp/cab page:
Bass San Diego

Beyond that, all I can say is Bergantino... I use a couple 1x12 Berg's and they are good for most gigs - If I need more then I let the house PA do the heavy lifting.
I've seen a couple EA and Epifani 2x12's locally on craigslist, you could wait for one of those to pop up.
ALSO: Take a ride up to Rancho Bernardo to the Carvin World Headquarters and try out a couple 2x10 cabs.
ALSO: There is an Avatar 2x12 on craigslist right now...

Thanks.. i understand bergantino.. so so nice (my pa sale wasn't that great..ha!).... I haven't been to Bass SD yet, i really should. Not a big carvin or a 2x10 fan, but i dig ya. i'm curious about the GK Neo 212 stuff.. it's not around here. It seems more people use newer Gk heads with those, anybody use the 800RB?

You might want to try the new Acoustic USA 360 with the 361m. When I was down at their office in February, I tried the 361m and it sounds amazing. It's smaller than it's big brother 361 but doesn't give up any punch.
