Solid Combo Amps

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys. I've been playing guitar for several years, and I'm just recently going to be purchasing a bass. Never played before, but I'm no slouch on guitar, and I'm looking forward to learning to play bass. Anyway, I will be purchasing a Fender Deluxe Precision bass. However, I'm in need of a nice combo amp on a budget...preferably no more than $300. It must have a headphone jack too, and a line out. There's just so many options, I'm not sure what's really quality and what's not.

I play a lot of different types of music... but I'm always partial to metal and big, heavy sounds. I'm a huge fan of Tool and Metallica.

What would you guys recommend I look at? Thank you!!
