helping out a friend here whos looking for a new bass head for his gk 4x10
Ampeg SVT350 or Ampeg B2R?
both are 350 watts at 4ohms, both come with a 9 band eq
can get either for 300$
opinions here?

opinions here? | You can do a search, but basically they are the same head, just one is rack mount and the other is in a fancy head case. It's all about looks. |

I don't think either or your choices are top of the line pro gear, but from my experience, they should be solid, 'workingman' heads.

actually, i think $300 is too much for either one of them. i've seen svt 3 pros go for only slightly more than that, and it's a much better amp.
