Some Amp Questions - What Else?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, I currently have a Fender Rumble 30, which I like a lot. I don't use it much, I mainly use my bass for recording and I go direct. But it is fun to play out loud from time to time.

What I want to know is whether or not it's a problem to play my electric guitar through this amp? I basically use my guitar for recording, like my bass, but it's nice to make some noise sometimes. It's therapeutic. It sounds pretty good. I basically have too much gear already and I want to avoid buying another amp for my guitar, just for goofing around.

Thanks!

If you like the sound, shred away. If you break a bass amp with a guitar, youre doing something horribly wrong. Have fun

Guitar through a bass amp no problem. Bass through a guitar amp can be done at low volumes.

+1, i used to use my 15w frontman for bedroom practice at medium volume.

The key here is common sense - no matter what the interwebz says, if your amp is farting, turn it down!
