Some Bass Cabinet input

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys i'm new to the forum here, was just wondering if I could have some advice on which bass cabinet to get.

The head i'm using is an Orange Terror Bass 500, which I got recently.

It's time for me to get a cabinet to use for small gigs and practice at home. My budget is 600 dollars, I need something for a post-hardcore, heavy punk tone.

So what would be the best to get, what model, what wattage ?

Thanks

used quality 410 for $300, spend rest on lessons and beer.

that is, if you're over 21. if not, skip the beer.

Thanks for the input. After a couple of hours googling around I have found a Ampeg SVT210AV 2 x 10 Bass Cab, seems great and all but would 210 watts be enough for small gigs and home practice ?

A 210 would be good, a 212 would be better. ;] It's really up to you though. Go try some out.

If your budget is $600, I'd get a 2x10 and 1x15, a 2x12, or a 4x10. Some say that 2 matching cabs is the best way to go, but if you find mis matching cabs to be your sound, go for it. You can get 2 Acoustic 4x10s for $600, or the 8x10. But, for a lightweight rig, I'd get this http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend....net?sku=580260

You can get a lot of cab for $600. If you buy used, especially.
