Something Fun for my wife

I was looking around for a 1x15 cab for my wife and stumbled upon this set up instead, couldn't pass it up

2 ADA 1 x15" cabs, 1 ADA 2X10" cab and an old Peavey Series III head.

I was suprised to find the ADA cabs loaded with EV speakers and the head is fully functional.

smelled like cat pee though

anyone know much about the ADA cabs?

Your 1x15.

Navigate the site as necessary for the rest of the stuff. You will have zero luck getting rid of the cat pee smell unless you take off all the carpet and refinish the cab.

ADA made some pretty great stuff back when they were in business.

we bathed the cabinets in a fabreze soapy sollution and they ended up smelling okay after all.

Plug it all in today and put it through some paces, sounds okay, I would like to get a nicer head to go with this set up though.

I have been following Dr Z amps and it looks they will be coming out a Bass amp after the first of the year, I hear one in June that souned pretty awesome

No kidding, I hadn't read that. Dr Z has a pretty good rep for reasonably priced boutique level tube guitar amps. Did you hear a prototype bass amp? Got any details as far as the tube complement or features?

when my wife I were dating she told me she isn't much into jewely so not to worry about even buying her big diamonds, I was thinking this was pretty cool! The next week were out a a local music store looking at 10k mixing consoles, she like hardward, just a different kind of hardware lol

we got to hear a proto type amp, it sounded real good, I asked Dr Z if he has some details I could share about the amp and he said is not ready to disclose much at this point other than it will be a 500 watts with an all tube front end an rack mountable.

I have 2 Dr Z guitar amps and just love them, the bass amp sounded great so I will be looking to get the bass amp when it comes out. Cool stuff for sure!!

You say something about having purchased a new rig in your post, but I don't see any pictures. Did I misunderstand? Am I going crazy?

My wife was (somewhat) interested in playing music with me, she was a former saxaphonist. We (she) decided on a 63 key digital synth- $1500. later, I have a digital synth. I would've preferred another sweet analog, like a Moog, but that's life. She hasn't touched it in almost 2 yrs. Now she wants a new sapphire.

Cat Piss: One of the worst, most tenacious substances know. I know property managers that have had to replace the sub-floor below carpet and hardwood to get rid of the smell. I would seriously consider removing the carpet and sealing the cabs with truck bed coating.
