Sonic Guitar Cab?

Sign in to disble this ad
This may be a tough question to answer...maybe not. Sorry if its a dumb question but Im pretty inexperienced so Im looking for help.

I picked up this Guitar Cab. Its a 4x10 by Sonic. I have no other info on the cab and I have never heard of Sonic. Site serch showed nothing helpful.

My question is...Is this cab suitable for Bass? Is there anyway looking at the cab to tell?

Im not looking for ideal tones here I just need to know if the cab can handle the low freqs or would it be damaged. Oh BTW Im playing it through a Peavey Mark VI Amp.

If it's a guitar cab, then it has guitar speakers, and when pushed hard, the speakers could fart out and get damaged ..... Sonic is a cabinet builder, they made some O.K stuff

Low volume fine, push it and spend money reconing.

fWIW I have a paleolothic Sonic 1x15 that is well built. It's been with me for years and has housed myriad speakers without complaint. Great for a 3015 though it is a little like putting lipstick on a pig... Currently has a Black Widow and lives ay a guitarist's house where I practice sometimes. Their stuff seems pretty well done for 'generic' to me.

My buddy used to have a Sonic 410 bass cabinet, I think it was made in the early 90s, kind of a lower priced, decent cabinet.

Sonic's alive and well in Cudahy (Milwaukee), WI. They make nice stuff - well built - reasonably priced. They don't market nationally, so outside the upper midwest, their stuff is scarce. I just bought a pair of their 118 subs for $750 that perform great and surpass name brands costing 30-40% more.
