i just broke the bank on a mesa walkabout amp and finding it hard to understand what kind of cab i should use it with...

there are two 1/4" speaker outputs and underneath each of them it says 8 ohms but as i understand i can use the amp with both 8 and 4 ohm but i don't get it...

if i find a 4 ohm cab.. do i plug it in either one of the speaker outputs? aren't they rated for 8 ohms?

what if i want to hook two 4 ohm cabs ??? how do i understand this?

i'm really sorry to have to make a new topic about this, i read all i could about ohms and i really understood everything but i just can't grasp this on the walkabout...

You can run the WA at 8 ohms or 4 ohms; and although the newer WA documentation doesn't recommend running two ohm loads, Chef and I have run ours regularly at 2 ohms with no problems.

You can plug a 4 ohm cab into either speaker output w/ Mesa's blessing. That's what they're there for.

IME, the WA can also push two 4 ohm cabs (for a 2 ohm load).

in case you have 2 8 Ohm cabs that cannot be daisy-chained, then you can run both for a 4 Ohm load
