SVT 610 hlf cab and Birdsong bass. Wow!!
This is loud and so much more sustain than I'm
used to. In a room with terrazzo floors, a
wall of windows, stuff hangin on the walls, this thing
is rattling everything. I hope it's the room and
not the cab. I'm Lovin the sound all but the
Low open E. all other open and every fretted strings
sound nice with a fat centered pitch. The open E
Has a very dirty sound with the harmonics, mainly
the 3rd taking over. I can't seem to dial in a good fat
sound on the open E. I'm thinking its got to be the
room.... Hoping anyway!!! |

Walk around the room when playing the open E and listen if the sound gets louder (or less louder) at different spots in the room.
Next step is to this again but then with the cabinet placed at a different spot in your room.
It could also be your bass.... do you also have this with the ol' cabinet?

culprit/s. my fiancé has a wall with 25 crosses/crucifixes
on the wall. They sound like a old Zildian sizzle
ride cymbal. I'm getting the stink eye from her

When I get them all dancing!!! | Hmmm, sounds like it's time for a new girlfriend. I bet that engagement ring can be traded for a nice vintage bass. |

To those who now have that song stuck in their heads, you're welcome. I whistle it at work on bad days.

I have a friend, Prick, who spells his name with a silent 'P'. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
