speaker cab question (1X18, 4X10 or 2X15)

Just based on the number could you TBers, well versed in cabinet output, speculate as to which of the below cabinets would give me the most stage volume? I know it’s a crap shoot when judging by manufacturer specs. I’m currently running a Sansamp bddi rack preamp through a PV-4C power amp. The power amp puts out 500 watts bridged at 4ohms and 420 watts at 8ohms. I’m dumping my acoustic replica 2X15 for another, smaller cab and am trying to get the most bang for my buck and smaller size.

4X10. 800 watts at 8ohms. 97db sensitivity
2X15. 600 watts at 4ohms. 99db sensitivity

1X18 (short throw speaker). 400 watts at 8ohms. 105db + - 2db sensitivity

Thanks in advance for your input!
Barry

Impossible to say. Power handling has no direct relationship with output, and most manufacturer sensitivity ratings tend to be inaccurate at best, downright false at worst. The factors that do matter, measured frequency response and driver displacement, are not available from any manufacturer that I know of. Barefaced Bass comes the closest to providing complete and accurate data.

+1 on Bill
To me, there's nothing like spending 4 sets with a cab to know how it will work for you.

thanks guys. I wish I could try these out prior to purchasing but can't (online distributor). Maybe local CL would be best.

Thx,
Barry
