Speaker for Fender Rumble 15

Any suggesstions on a 8"/15w+ replacement bass speaker suitable for a Fender Rumble 15 practice amp? It's not outrageously horrible sounding, I would just like something a little more solid and less farty sounding.

Cliff, I know you know your stuff....but I'm not sure that a 15W practice amp played much louder than a shelf radio CAN be anything but farty...unless there's something wrong with the speaker.

You can always go the WinISD route...but with 15W efficiency probably doesn't matter much. Maybe someone will have BTDT....

I don't think there is a speaker driver that will help. 15 watts and a small sealed enclosure isn't much to work with.

For the cost of any half decent speaker you could by a whole 'nother used practice amp that might sound a little different/better than that one.

For a neat little project get another one and chop it down to an ext. cab for a tiny little living room stack. 2 speakers to take the power maybe less farty. Connect them in series if there's an impedance issue.

If you're looking for a better sounding practice amp try a set of nice headphones

Ah, it's not that big a deal, it doesn't sound horrible, as I said, and I really got it without much expectation, I really mostly got it because (I have a really tiny apartment) of it's small size, as I needed it to fit in a very specific and limited space. I was just wondering if it was feasible to replace the speaker, but I can live with it as is.
rpsands - I actually have the capability of playing it thru headphones via my Tascam bass trainer, but it's nice to be able to play thru an amp once in a while, and I really can't be cranking up my BA 115.
