I have a Crate be-215 and I do like the punchy sound of it. The problem with it is I think the bottom speaker is blown. Part of the speaker seems like it was torn and repaired. It seems to put out half the volume as the top. Is this maybe fixable or should I look into a replacement?
I have heard that these 80's Crates were made in the same factory as Ampeg and many parts were the same. Does anyone know if the speakers were the same? If not, anyone know what type of speakers were used?
