Speaker Reconing and Repair Resources?

If you have recommendations on reconing and repair resources such as parts suppliers or reliable suppliers that do reconing work, please post their names or links here.

I would like to add this resource to the FAQ's.

Thanks!

Orange County Speaker hands down.

http://speakerrepair.com

Also,

Parts-Express in Dayton, OH claims to do reconing, but I have no personal experience.

Great thread idea!

In Vancouver CA, I would recommend Kinetic Audio.

I have been using Bob's services for about 15 years. An amazing guy, with a great shop and even better rates! He usually has lots of parts in stock, and what he doesn't he usually can get in a day or 2.

He rebuilt (new cone, new voice coil, etc) a 15 black widow for me a couple years back in less time than it took me to drink a cup of coffee!

They've reconed/serviced all these for me, and each one has been spot on correct.

I have bought parts and materials from

http://www.simplyspeakers.com/

in the South Florida area. Had no issues with delivery
or service. They offer reconing and audio woofer surround
kits. Haven't used them for a recone job though.

Reconing

Sent two EC 1060 XS from my Eden D410XST in to Parts Express, they should be back in the next couple of days. Will post a report after I have played them awhile.

Orange County Speaker has an excellent reputation that, from what I've seen, extends beyond US borders.

I've heard good things about New England Speaker in Stoneham, Massachusetts, though I've not done business with them myself.

There are a bunch of TB'ers in that area, philbiker comes to mind. You might want to check with Jong Lee (Jive1) of Jive Sound to see if he has any info. He is further north in Alexandria but he has attended gtg's with other VA guys and knows a lot of theml. Try posting a new thread in amps with a title like 'Legacy Sound, amp repair in VA Beach, any info? ' and see what pops up.
