| | | | Which Speakers to buy??!! (Eminence 15s!)

Hey all. I've posted this question on a few forums, and this forum usually seems to have some solid respondents so, here goes:
I've got a cabinet that fits four 15 inch speakers.
2 of them will be Kappa 3015's
the other two will either be the:
KAPPA PRO-15LF-2 ( http://www.eminence.com/speakers/spe...appa_Pro_15LF2)
the
KAPPALITE™ 3015LF ( http://www.eminence.com/speakers/spe...ppalite_3015LF)
or the
DELTA-15LFA ( http://www.eminence.com/speakers/spe...el=Delta_15LFA)
These two speakers will share a space of roughly 11.3 sq/ft (total cabinet volume, its roughly 36x36x15") with the two 3015's, in an unvented (sealed) cabinet.
My question is, If the 3015s produce all of the highs and mids that I'll need, which of these three subs will produce the best, most non-farty sounding (this is key, as my Eminence CB15s were pretty farty when given lots of bass, id like nice smooooth and deep low end) low end. This is hard for me to figure out, because while the first two speakers have heavier and larger magnets, and a lower "usable frequency range", they are designed to be used in a huge, vented cab. The 3rd speaker on the other hand is not as heavy duty sounding (with a smaller magnet and slightly higher "usable frequency range"), but it can be used in a smaller, sealed enclosure (which is what I'm working with). If it makes any difference I'll be using these for bass guitar. SO! what do you folks suggest? |

| | | | I figure the 3015s will produce the high end (and can handle the bottom end very well) that I'll need. and the sub speakers will put out all the very deep lows? What can be lost? |

What can be lost? | That's not how speakers work. It's like putting one rain tire, one snow tire, one high speed tire and one all season tire on your car. What you end up with is something that doesn't work well in any circumstance.
If you must use this cab (and I wouldn't) load it with four Beta 15s. |

| | | | Thanks for all the input everyone,
Two more questions. First one is, what is the danger in using two different speakers in one box/space?
Second question is, what is the effect of using a speaker reccomended for use in a vented enclosure, in a sealed enclosure? technically and in terms of the sound it will produce? |

Different drivers will have different strengths concerning what freq's they produce best, and some frequencies from one speaker will cancel-out freq's from the other speaker when you mix-n'-match different ones, so it's a bad idea ("bad sound"). Always match speakers when they're in the same space.
There are FAQ's and pages of info to go find and read... spend 20 minutes and get hip.

I'd rather get a beating in a thread, than in my wallet.
TB just saved you so money, time, and grief.
Good luck with the project.
