Which speakers to put in an SBX cab?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have an SBX410 with a blown speaker. Since these speakers aren't available anymore, Christine at G-K recommended the 082-0017-D speaker which is currently used in the BLX line. These are 100W / 32ohm speakers (my cab is the 8ohm version - not the sbx plus). I'm afraid the replacement won't match the original in looks or sound.
Would it be a good idea to upgrade to the 082-0470-a speakers currently found in the neo line? 32ohm / 200w and just replace them all? Or buy a new cabinet all together?

I have no idea what the best route to take is. I love the SBX sound and would like to keep the cabs - just upgrade the speakers.
