speakon cable question - hartke amp

hi, i got a hartke lh 1000. my question is probably gonna sound dumb and noob but anyway, i got a speakon cable from the store but i'm kinda confused, cause on the back of the amp it says -1,+1 and on the cab (hartke cab) it says -2,+2 on the speakon input. when i look at my cable it says +1 on both ends. i guess i have the wrong speakon cable?

you need a 4 post speakon wired +1 -1 on the head end and +2 -2 on the other end you will have to rewire the +2 -2 end yourself to make it work. it's easy to do

Keep in mind the connectors only show 2's on the exterior. Simply unscrewing the connector will reveal the 4 wires assuming they used 4 wire cable. I just did this vid the other day showing what is happening and indeed how easy the cables are to make for custom cable lengths. About $5/foot for the Mogami 2921 cable and $5 for each Neutrik plug.

Wowsa, can't embed vids here?

Are you sure about the cabinet wiring?? I've yet to see a single cabinet that is wired to the second pair. It makes no sense for it to be done that way.
