| Split the signal in a microbass 2

Are there any benefits on feeding two identical signals one on each of a preamp's two channels? I am using the Microbass 2. It's got two channels with different eq processing for each. I activate both channels as recommended, plugging in A channel and then using both EQs. This I thing is a series mode where the A EQ is processed in B EQ.
I thought of splitting my bass and plug each channel simultaneously. I thing this could be called parallel mode of A and B channels. So the signal is processed in A and B channels independently.
Testing, I realized that on series mode I can get more extreme equalization where for example, boosted bass on A can get more boosted on B. But I get the feeling that the parallel mode gives an open feeling to the sound and more control over the sound.
What is your opinions or suggestions? Is this experimentation a loss of time?
