"Squared" 10" Bass Speakers - Can you ID?

I have a pair of custom built 1X10 cabs where the speakers have had the surrounds squared off for mounting in a very tight installation. The speakers are round of course. I've found speakers like this in smaller sizes but never in a 10" or larger. Before you ask, there are NO markings on the speaker what so ever to ID it, only a label from the shop they came from and they have no idea what they are. Can anyone be of help? Thanks! Ken

So do JBL E110s. Neither are bass drivers, though.

As in a bulged out square sort of shape? I had a Ohm 6x10 with those, I got the idea they were Tayden speakers.

OK guys, here's a pic of exactly what they are. I think they're the original PAS speakers that were used in the Goliath II but PAS doesn't show them any more. Any ideas, these are the only type of speaker that will fit the cab. Notice there isn't any ID on these either.

Yeah. Those are the early PAS 10" drivers made just for SWR. I have them in my Golliath Jr. II. The generation after them were designed using the same frame but had smaller magnets and therefore lighter. I don't know what Fender is putting in the Golliath series now. Eminence?

I had mine reconed twice. The first time I sourced oem parts right from SWR. The second time Fender wouldn't help me and I had them done with what was said to be the correct recone kit for my drivers but I can tell you, they were only a shadow of their former sound and power handling.

I wouldn't recommend reconing. I'd look into what fender using now in the Golliath cabs and see if they'll fit.
