Squeal on Power-down

I run an Ampeg BA-115 and I always get this squealing sound when I turn it off. It happens whether or not something is plunged into it and the sound only last for a second or so. It sounds like a high pressure vaulve losing pressure (a squeal, not a hiss). The sound drops from high to low. Can any of you tell me what might be happening to my rig?

Most SS devices have moments of instability when the voltage rails are powering up or down. Many amps have timed on/instant off relays that switch the speakers off until these events have passed. It's quite normal to hear thumps, and sometimes squeals, from units not equipped with these relays.

Agreed though you can find kits and schematics for such devices.
