Doug Parent came over today and we had a mini shootout. Conclusion: They all sound good. I dug the ol' WT-300 out of the archive to experience the classic Eden tone for comparison, and it still rules.
All of the amps have distinguishing tonal characteristics, much too complex to describe with the spoken word. Only interpretive dance will do but, since you can't see it, I'll spare you.
They look good, too.

My lead guitarist has been trying to get me to buy one of those little mini-Ampeg thingies, but with the new Shuttle on board, the 'Peg's not really in the budget right now.

Well, the controls on the F1 are a little different from what I'm used to, but both could get "my tone" one way or another. To me the 9.0 has a little more "airy" top end and the F1 is a bit darker ... more focused on the low mids. Both have EQ capable of getting whatever tone gestalt you require. One obvious difference is the power available, but we were playing in a small room, so it wasn't possible to crank them up.
