A funny shot of touring in the mid-90's with my old mesa 2x15 cabinet. The good thing it was summer, the bad, I had to use a putty knife to remove the insect roadkill. Sadly, it was later stolen... the cabinet not the putty knife.
And playing with my daughter's band at the 400 Bar in Minneapolis last weekend using my newly remodeled custom fretless.
current live set up:
Mid-80's Mesa Boogie Bass 400
SWR 4x10
lots of little boxes on the floor with blinking lights |

I thought I would play, too, but since I am almost constantly swapping rigs at gigs, I don't really have a given rig to post. But here is what I hope to be an interesting cross-section of some of my gigging rigs.
First off, let's start with the ludicrous EA Overkill rig:
The following year at the same outdoor event, I went with an Epifani flavor overkill rig:
This was always a fun shot, and yes, the fridge was fully stocked, and yes, I had it empty by the end of the night (please note, kids, I am not a role model!).
Any rig that incorporates both a DB728 and a CA9 is, by definition, ridiculous:
As is any rig that involves three Berg IP-series cabs:
Eventually, I became a bit wiser (or at least older), and so the rigs became a tad bit more reasonable:
This was an on-the-gig head comparison night (Nemesis NA650, LMII, and behind me was a Carvin B800):
It turns out one IP310 is enough to fill a 2,000+ person tent:
TC fun:
Glock fun:
GK fun:
Sure, I'll post an SVT rig, too!
And more recently, I fell in love with some fEARfuls...
This is from my most recent gig:
And yes, I am stricken by occasionally bouts of sanity, and I bring a rig that is not laughably too big/loud (that's a fEARful 12/6cube/1): |

This is actually my girlfriends keyboard rig. Aguilar DB750 into a Bag End Q10BX-D
Sunn Concert Bass into a Emperor 4x12
All pictures of me are horrible quality. |

| | | This is my 90% go to rig. Shuttle 9.0 + TC 2x10. It just worked out that way...convenience really. I use a GB NEOX 212 for outdoor gigs......

Tom,
What kind of gig do you play the Roland Pk pedals on? I love seeing bass pedals it's the "Geddy" in me! I had a bassgasmic experience the other day in Montreal (Going to see Rush of course!) when I had a chance to try out the new Moog Taurus 3 Pedals, unbelievable! I've never had a chance to try out any bass pedals before, no stores around here stock them, so it was simply amazing.
Take Care,
Brent

Take Care,
Brent | I use them in conjunction with a Korg Triton Rack setup, and yes, I use them on some Rush tunes (just saw Rush in Cleveland last month, and was blown away - though I was disappointed at the amount of sampled keyboard I heard...). We don't have a keyboard player in the band, so the Roland/Korg setup lets me add in some simple parts.
FWIW, I recently received a Moog Taurus 3 for review in BGM. |

| Not gonna happen.
1st rule of bass club - Tom B's rig is bigger than yours.
2nd rule of bass club - Tom B's rig is better than yours. |

I personally always bring a strip of wood (if im using a caster cab) and my cordless drill and a couple long wood screws to keep my cab from going any closer to the edge. Sometimes size restraints of the stage forces you near the edge and im always prepared.
When not using casters i use one of these Auralex Isolators (i see you use one inbetween head/cab)....great for use with crappy built/hollow risers/stages....sounds better too

You can't see it in the photo, but I have wood stips screwed in place around the rear casters to prevent such an event. Quote:
