Stereo head dilemma :(

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a 2 x 75w Fender Mustang stereo guitar head. The outputs are 8 ohms each.

I use my bass cabs with this head, because I love the sound (and I can't be bothered to get a 412 or two)

My guitarist has an awful Marshall MG100 head + cab. It sounds horrible, so I've offered for her to use my head.

However, there is only one guitar cab at the practice space (she hasn't got another) so that may play havoc with my Fender. If I only use a single 8 ohm cab, I get half the power, and half the surface area.

Is there any way to get round this? I don't want to damage my amp either.

Thanks

If the amp cannot be bridged, you cannot "get around" this. Sorry.
