stolen amps

Sign in to disble this ad
I was playing at a beach in stratford CT yesterday it started to rain and some people swarmed the stage, anyway a day later I notice when I go to empty my car that both my amp heads are missing. No one in the band or the stand where we were playing has seen them,I have a police report but I never logged the serial numbers.I gave good details what bolt was missing what stickers were on them so on so on but I want to tell all who read this log your serial numbers for just such emergencies.I am on a disability and have gigs and charitable functions and this is a inconvenience,If any one should see a Galien Krueger or Acoustic bass head they were stolen july 25th and might turn up in a pawn shop between NewHaven CT and Bridgeport CT most likey. If some one sees anything like these while out and about and tells me I will give a monetary reward thanks

Like I said if you see anything like these heads at a shop or anything and tell me I will go look for myself and handle it from there and if they are mine I will give a cash reward.

Having lost three basses in my time I feel for you. It's a horrible feeling when you realize that someone has ripped you off of some of the tools of your trade.

May I humbly suggest that you invest in some security cables and lock your amps to their respective cabinets. It's one thing to steal an amplifier, it's another to steal an amplifier that is chained to a large speaker cabinet!

Good luck with recovering your loss. I hope at least you had it insured. Check your home insurance policy. Sometimes they have a rider that covers your property in a remote location.

Royal bummer man! That sucks. I had a guitar stolen once, but not my amps. I hope you're able to get them back or hopefully if they're insured (homeowners maybe?) that you'll be able to get something to replace them soon. =*(

I know the feeling. I've had a lot of amps stolen, but they never took the 810.

Sorry to hear about the gear. I live in CT, a bit out of the area you said but I'll keep an eye out.

I have serials logged, insurance on all my gear (only $40/yr total!), and put my name and number in spots that only a tech would look along with a note to check the ID of whoever brought it in and phone police if it isn't me.

Yes, log your serial numbers. I once recovered a stolen guitar because I had distributed the serial number to area PDs. When it was pawned 90 miles away, the pawn shop (as required by local law) submitted the SN to the police, and it hit on their database.

Meanwhile, it might help if you'd be more specific here.
