Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all again. A few days ago I acquired a GK NEO 212 cab. Sounds amazing etc etc. Problem is it takes up a lot of space. There isn't very much room at all at the place I live so it's been brought up that it should be kept outside when not in use. That makes me paranoid.
It would probably be kept under a small shed of sorts. I just get nervous about the weather maybe messing something up, or rats gnawing on it, etc etc. Does anybody else do this? Would it damage the amp? (aside from rain, obviously)
Thanks.

Other than that, I wouldn't do it, unless the garage/shed was impermeable to rain, moisture and rodents.

| | | | Yeah not a chance I would store any of my equipment outside. Keep in mind the cones are paper and in rain/drizzly/very humid summer weather they will probably deteriorate.

Or you could lay it on its side and use it as a bench.

This kind of stuff does not belong outside. Find something else in your house you don't use that much and put it outside.
A totally enclosed storage unit (garage) is a much better thing, don't go leaving this stuff under your carport or back porch/patio, whatever. If you don't give anymore of a damn about it than that, send it to me, I'll even pay for the shipping, it'll be a rescue just like my dogs and cats and this other little combo I have. |

| | | | just a dissent? If your house is in Arizona with a 10% huidity average, or your house is like mine, within a thousand feet of the Pacific ocean you will be subject to that environment unless you hermetically seal the space with dehumidifiers for the coast and swamp coolers for Arizona etc. A well roofed shed enclosure outdoors will be subject to less fluctuation in temp and humidity than most active homes with cooking and showers and laundry. How do those Nevilles keep knockin it out of the park on tour when their gear is subject to the adverse gulf conditions | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
