Strange Fender Rumble 15 Question

Sign in to disble this ad
So I'm selling my SVT-CL to fund a new pre/power rig. The pre is still being built, the power amp will be here soon, I'm selling the SVT this week. I no longer have any preamp-like pedals like a SansAmp.

I am wondering if I can make my Fender Rumble 15 work with the power amp to power my two cabs until the pre shows up. I'm not very concerned with how it will sound, just want to be able to be heard at practice. Can I plug the headphone jack on the Fender 15 into the input of the PA? Is this the right type of signal to send to the PA? The Fender doesn't have any type of Line Out, just a 1/4" headphone jack.

Very doubtful that the headphone out from the Rumble will be enough to drive the power amp. You could try it, you won't hurt anything.

You may be able to run the headphone out into a mic input on the PA mixer. Again, try it and see if it works.

Well there is no PA mixer as I mentioned it's a rack mount PA for my pre/PA rig.
