Strange ringing noise in speakers

Hi fellow TB duwdez

I play my bass on a marshall vba400 with vbc412 cabinet.
Now when I play on a normal level (gain almost full, Volume at 8 'o clock) I hear this strange ringing noise, It's in every speaker I think but the first one I heard it in was the upper left speaker.
Could it be the tubes, the inside(or guts maybe) of the cabinet, or what else could it be?

I hope someone can help me.
If I need to open my cab up, there's a rubber sealing preventing me from doing that I think. Is it possible to remove that sealing?

I don't know what you're hearing, but maybe back off that pre-gain a little and see if that helps. I'd run the gain at noon, and increase the master volume to compensate.

I got a good deal on a Basic Black; it sounded like a tambourine was sitting on the top. When I changed the microphonic tube (thank you TalkBass for one of my first bass problems solved), all was much better.

I vote tube(s)!

Sounds like microphonic tube to me.

I had a similar problem with a cab that crossed over to a 6.5" once. It rang on one bass but not the other. It ended up being strings! So... that couldn't hurt to check either. Good luck!
