Streamliner owners, is anyone having a problem like this?
Brand new amp, running into two Uberquad boxes, and suddenly the amp is totally lit up up, but no sound. Amp felt slightly warm, which was unusual. Fortunately I had a back up amp with me, so I could finish the show. Then, just for kicks, at the end of the show, I fired up the Streamliner, and it was fine.
The owner of the store that I bought this from says he thinks it was because I was using speaking cables that had 2 hot and 2 negative leads, and Genz Benz says this amp has to have cables with single positive and negative leads. Has also offered to swap the amp in full value , so I am not getting the bum rush on this. Any other ideas out there? Or similar issues? |

I would talk to Genz customer service about the shutdown, rather than relying on internet chit-chat. Or you can PM agedhorse on TB- he was one of the development engineers for the amp.
GB customer service has proven to be exceptional, and if there's any issue with the amp, they will take care of you. |

It's normal for the cover in the area over the tubes to be mildly warm to the touch.
An NL-4 wired through with all conductors is NOT a problem. The minimum wiring is 1+/1-, circuit 2 is unterminated inside the amp.
Let's do a little simple troubleshooting to be sure it's not something unrelated to the amp. Sometimes that does happen.

| | | | No LEDs lit put of the ordinary, just the blue power led and the tube light itself. And nothing heralded the stoppage of sound. It worked at startup, and then 90 min later, nothing.
And the store that I bought this at has been super supportive, totally willing to swap the amp for a new one if necessary. |

Try cycling the effects return jack with a plug a couple of times, it's possible the internal switch was not fully seated. It's also possible that you have a bad tube. You can always give Scott a call at the factory and he will walk you through a couple of troubleshooting steps regarding tubes.
If your dealer will swap it out, that's another way to resolve this, but please ask the dealer to include a brief but detailed note regarding the symptoms so that we may follow up.

| | | | Was not using the effects loop, so I am wondering if the tube direction is not the right play here. Thanks for the info! |
