I'm sure therre are others, but, for the price to build an all-tube amp, especially for bass, most will be 100, 200, or 300 watters.

Just put a big Hammond tranny in it and some good tubes.
If you want more adjust ability and volume from a passive bass put a good pre amp/DI like a Aguilar Tone Hammer.
Even with the amp, mods and Tone Hammer I only have about $300 into mine.

Found one for a few hundred cheaper then the going rate, and have some extra gear I can sale off. Also wanted to try Ashdown stuff for awhile. |

Right now I have 2 Ampeg 210AV's I'm going to try, but I'm looking into getting an Ashdown cab trying to decide between the VS212, VS112 or VS115. I'm on the fence, so if anyone wants to chime in on which would be the best pairing, I'm all ears!

Btw, I couldn't get enough clean output from 50W, ymmv.

Btw, I couldn't get enough clean output from 50W, ymmv. | If it's in his house, how much output does he need? And it sure must be a drag not to be able to get enough output from 50w. I can usually get enough with half that, which means I can use B-15's onstage
