Suggestion?

Ok, so here is what I need. I need an amp that will sound good with both my electric and upright. I play only jazz. It needs to be loud enough to speak over my quartet. I also am a regular player in a big band. My main gigging bass is a passive jazz with flats so if that makes a difference. My price range is under $300 of possible. I hope this to include the entire bundle, whatever that means. It also needs to be pretty portable. Something with wheels or light weight would be great. I don't really care if it's compact necessarily, as long as it's pretty light.
Up untill this point I've had a cheap $150 peavey amp that stopped working. My hope it that this week my music store has a huge blow out sale, 40-70 % off or something crazy like that. If I could trade in my ibanez sr405 straight up for an amp that would be awesome. I bought the bass there and I believe they have a pretty solid payback for there instruments, so I would probobly be looking at around $300. With that, assuming the amp is on sale I could probobly afford a $500 amp so yeah lol

I was thinking Genz Benz Shuttle until I saw your budget. Don't know what they go for used over there, but they get props as a doubler amp. Might be worth checking the Amps forum on the DB side -- there have been a couple of recent threads on this topic, as I recall.

How loud are they? They don't look very big so that's a plus. I am goig to go to the music store to scoop out there inventory. I believe amps are like 60% off (I know crazy right?). It is there big sale of the year, it's like the black Friday of the Erie music world. I'm willing to camp out if there's something great lol. Any other suggestions? Maybe a list of like best to worst given my situation?

Two combos come to mind; used SWR Workingman's 12 or a Hartke 115 kickback. Not lightweights but sound fine, are reliable and easy to find.

I've heard many jazz players do well through both.

That would be great if it wasn't $300 over the OP's budget!

nice 12" combo here

These are nice, $339.00 bucks. 80 watts, good quality, tilt-back feature.
I came real close to buying one of these before.
