Suggestions for 4 space rack or rack bag for Carvin B1500?

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently purchased a Carvin B1500. In my first rehearsal last week,....I realized I needed control panel lighting and an easier way to carry this boat anchor,...plus some protection.

I was about to bid on an SKB rack case on eBay, then noticed that it was 20" deep. Wondering if there is something out there that is about 12'- 15" deep internally. Seems like that would be enough to protect it and store a power cord. A 20" rack would be hanging over my 15" deep cabs by 5 inches.

SKB "Shallow" racks show an internal depth of 10.38". I'm thinking that that is NOT enough depth for the B1500,...but not really sure of where they take their measurements from.

Any thoughts from you B1500 users?

I got a Gator shallow rack for my Ampeg, measures 12" from front rack rails to rear rack rails. The amp sticks out of the rear of the rack by about an inch, but that's no big deal since the covers are about 2" deep, so there is no obstructino whatsoever.

As long as the covers will fit fine, then there shouldn't be a problem...if it sticks out some, it may even help with the cooling of the amp itself being outside of the rack and not in a 'tunnel'.

Gator shallow rack works perfectly.

Back lid has no problem going back on even with all cables connected.
