Suggestions for amp with 2 channels

Sign in to disble this ad
I am looking for an amp with 2 channels that can be switched back and forth with a foot switch. I want to be able to go back and forth between my fingerstyle tone and my Slap tone. I prefer rackmount amps but will consider other options. Thanks

Dozens of options available- you'd need to be alot more specific.

I am using a Mesa M6 right now and I can get an awesome slap tone(mid scooped treble and Bass boosted) or an awesome fingerstyle tone (Bass and treble flat with the mids boosted.) I feel like my Fingerstyle and slap tones are both suffering if I just set my EQ flat so I can do both on the fly.

I am looking @ a GK 2001RB because I like the GK tone and it is rackmountable. The downside is it is very heavy. Whatever I decide on has to have a footswitch. I am also looking @ the Epi 902. Just need more options.

Vic suggested that amp to me and I am looking @ it also but would rather have something I could stick in a rack.

I shouldnt be this way but I have always liked a bigger hunk of iron to plug into. Wish there was one that I could try @ a local store.

You could also consider an EQ pedal, BBE Sonic Stomp or a preamp pedal like the Sadowsky. Slightly boost the mids on your amp and savagely cut them on the pedal.

No problem. Heart-Rock.

It seems to me a pedal is going to be a lot cheaper and easier. Something like a BassBone.

+10

Then every rig you use becomes a more versatile 2 channel setup.

I gave some bum scoop there. The Heart-Rock foot switches control only the loop and tune (mute) functions.
