I have a genz benz 6x10 that im gettin sick of haulin around. I use an ashdown abm500 head. Ive also have an avatar 4ohm 2x10pro cab that I have been usin lately for smaller gigs. I love the sound when I turn the tweeter off and the size n weight are cool but it vibrates like crazy (head moves around) and it farts out when I dig in.
Im lookin for smaller, lighter, maybe with 12s but any suggestions would help. I dont want 2 break the bank lookin for bang 4 the buck. I know this aint the right form but if u have something like a 4ohm 2x12, 2x10, 1x15, badass cab that u might wanna trade let me know. I live in cincy.
Thanx

Mark | Maybe another Avatar 210 cab to go with the one you have. (Depending on what ohms your head runs at.)
Stack em' as a vertical 410. That'll get the top speaker up closer to your ears just as your 610 does. Having two 210's in the vertical will up your power handling, your projection, your low-end capability and mids dispersion. Plus, you can use one cabinet for rehearsals/small gigs, both cabs when more volume and dispersion is needed.
I'm working with a LOUD, 6 pcs., country/rock group that I use two, 8 ohm, Avatar Neo cabs stacked as a vertical 410.
Their driven by a GK MB2-500 head with a passive 4 string Fender Jazz.
Having enough volume and low end on stage has "not" been a problem for me.

If it can't, get one or two lightweight, 8 ohm 2x12 cabs.

Mine was the loudest single cab I've owned.
It'll be tough to replace, if volume is a big consideration for you...
Maybe re-load it with Neo drivers?? |

I got ahold of a schroeder 21012 bmf and it really holds it's own in a band with a pounding drummer and screaming guitarist. |

The Wizzy is not super loud but it has a really nice tone.
The Berg AE212 is kind of the uber cab these days.
