Epifani, Aguilar GS, GK Neo's, Genz Benz, Mark Bass and TC all offer reasonably light weight cabs.
All provide very different voicings, so do some reading about that.
good luck

From what I've read in TB, that "mid bump" is probably all due to the undersized box size vs optimal speaker design.

Not the cheapest option out there, but worth every penny IMO.

Plus I would really like to play one first to see if I really like it... @newbolt well that would IMO contradict the whole reason why i want light weight gear, which is to be able to get everything i need in one easy to manage trip from my car. also, i already have a schroed 2-12L cab which is the reason im looking for something different. i love the volume and the weight of it im just not all the way sold on the overall sound. does anybody know anything about the new speaker cabs jorge is putting out? by the way thanks for all you guys input!

I'm in the same boat as you are, looking for a light 210 or 212.
And, I remembered another TB'er talking about Flite Cabs. I'm interested myself in this but I'm wondering how the price point could
be set so low.
There made in Connecticut from what thier website tells.
However......
SpruceApple's suggestion of GK 212 neo's sounds good too. The
GK 210MBE 400W 2x10 neo Cabs w/ Horn @ 30 lbs are $299 and the
GK 212MBE 600W 2x12 neo Cabs w/ Horn @ 34 lbs are $399 at Musicians Friend.

| | | | You can also get a BFM Jack 12 built for you. rpsands has a 40 lb Jack 12 he say can be as loud as a 4 x 10 and works great for rock. I have a 35 lb Jack 10 that's loud enough for the blues band I play in. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
