Suggestions on a new purchase.

Hello there all

In the next month or so i'm going to be buying a whole new setup and i'm looking pretty forward to it. Only problem is I don't have access to trying out and playing gear since i'm from the country in Australia. So i'm really hoping to get a general idea of what road I should take when it comes time to make a purchase...

I need a tone that would best suit a deep punchy slap/finger-style groove playing technique. I frequently play a EBMM Stingray and sometimes use a squire jazz on the rare occasion. (Don't know if that's relevant).

I have been looking around on several shops online in AUS and am considering looking at the following:

Heads

Gallien Krueger:
*Fusion 550.
*700 RB II.

Ampeg:
*SVT7 Pro.
*SVT450H.

Hartke:
*LH500 or LH1000.
*HA5500.

Cabs

Gallien Krueger:
*410 Neo.

Ampeg:
*SVT 410 HLF.
*SVT 40 HE.

Hartke:
*HyDrive 410.
*4.5 XL.

What Head and Cab would be best suited together?
Any suggestions are highly appreciated, thanks

Unfortunately I cannot be too helpful in going through your entire list but I would say if you do end up going towards the GK 700RB I would definitely recommend sticking with GK for the cabinet selection so that you can make use of the bi-amping.

I'm one of those guys who has his woofer set to 12 while the tweeter is at about 2 or 3 so having that feature is awesome for me.

If you are a guy who doesn't even use a tweeter then this really isn't going to make a difference to you though.

Alrighty, good to know thanks.

Anyone else have previous experience with these heads & cabs that I listed?
