Sunn 200S on steroids!

I was surfing eBay and found a Sunn 200S cabinet with JBL D140 speakers. I've always wanted to get another one since I sold 2 of them back in the early '90s. You'd think I would have been aware of their value by then. Anyway, I watched it because no one was bidding on it, but it finally went for almost $500, hmmm. I continued surfing and located a JBL cabinet that's a similar design but quite a bit larger. Whew! It's like a Sunn 200S on steroids! ...and I paid less.

Love those JBLs!

Nice cab.
If yer back is still up to it, it should sound great.

It's going to be a real test. I can't move it by myself. The only time I'd be using it would be on a big stage or with a loud rock 'n roll band. I got smaller cabinets, for sure.

I used a JBL cab like that years ago.
I loved the tone.
I ran a V4B for small gigs, and a SVT for bigger gigs.

Thanks, Mojo!

I actually haven't heard it yet. I'm just imagining.

I'm going to swap out the 600 watt 2226H speakers for some 150 watt AlNiCo K145s. My 200 watt all-tube Sadowsky probably couldn't move the originals. I'll need some help with tuning the cabinet with T-S parameters. It's got some "interesting" baffles as though it is two cabinets sharing the same port.

How much does an Ampeg 8X10 weigh?

I'm hoping it's going to be a pants shaker!

I DO have a 1200 watt power amp with an Alembic preamp if need be.
