Sunn 300T Alert - Pawn Shop - FL

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all.....found a beautiful Sunn 300T head sitting in a pawn shop in Florida! The price tag is $900 and it looks brand new, looking through the front grill, I can see "Fender" markings on the tubes, but other than that, everything looks perfect! I dont know much about these other than they have a good following, and this is the first one I have seen in person.

Assuming that this thing works, and all the tubes light up, what is a good offer for this? Also, if I am already an SVT guy, would this head be comparible?

Last, I am here in FL on business and trying to figure out a way to get this on the plane with me....... or if I decide to pass, here it is if someone is looking......

So would this be a good find?

Mint, I'd say 900 is a pretty solid price.

Also, the reason it says Fender on the tubes is because the Sunn300T was a Fender design with the Sunn logo tacked on.

Also, IIRC, the guy who designed the SVT was also the guy who designed the 300T.

I had one of these about 7 years ago. Great amp and was a monster of volume but the time it was more then I needed for the band I was in so I sold for a good price and stuck with a lower wattage Sunn. The 300T is also now sold as the "Fender Bassman 300 PRO". FenderŪ Products

I once took a 73 Ampeg V4 on a plane. Carried it on in my arms and put it in the over head but the 300T might just be a bit too much for that.

900 isn't a bad price. I mean, you can offer less. If they say no, you can still buy it at a fair price for 900.
