howdy...
a guy on ebay has the following for sale
SUNN stage 115 Bass Amplifier 50 watt Vintage Rare Amp
he says it is early 70's. my question is ... is this a tube amp?

Maybe a cool unit if it was cheap, but freight is gonna cost a fortune to get that thing shipped to you. And at this age it really should be serviced, a recap would be in order so that should be factored into the bidding price should you choose to bid on it. |

it was in memphis with local pick up only. if it was tube i might have tried to negotiate the 300.00 price down and driven to pick it up, but not interested.
the guy already responded that it was SS.
i am only interested in tube amps at this point so i did not negotiate with the guy

(The Nashville CL had a Peavey Max 115 combo for $200 obo yesterday and it'd likely play just as good or not better than that old Sunn.)
CL also has a 1969 Sunn 200S rig that's been posted on there several times for 8 bills, if you want to tote around a refridgerator... |
