I'm sure you meant that it being 85 lbs would make it the worst preamp ever, because as we all know, the SVT preamp is world class.

yes yes, of course!

any "preamp" that was 85lbs would have to be the "worst ever" for just that reason!

Or on the other hand the worlds most sought after and certainly most expensive ever bass pre amp.

Would weigh in at about the same weight as an SVT.
But then you would be paying about $25,000 just for the pre amp.
Oh yup it has a built in compressor that don't suck

Can't you build one out of a kit for a lot less these days?

These days you can even get a software version on your computer for not a lot but my job is to provide the real thing.

Like Coke, things go better with a little Fairchild in the signal chain.

On a related noted, Drip Electronics is testing the new revision of their 670 board. Looks interesting.
