Who are the current SVT 3 Pro Users here? What is your entire rig, particularly your cab(s)? Pics are welcome!

I have 1996 version that is LIKE NEW! Loving it so far. I have a 810TX right now, but wanting either NV610 ($$!) or a different 810 (sealed).

My SVT3 PRO has been relegated to backup/small venue/bedroom duty since I got my 2PRO, but I used it with a Yorkville 410 for nearly 10 years, with and without a Sansamp RBI preamp. It was the first real amp I ever bought and it's never ever let me down.

I almost traded it for a V4b a few months ago, but I love having it as a reliable backup to my tube head, and the guy wanted too much cash on top of the trade.

Semi-nude shot of my amp. Used to have an early 90's SVT3 with two Eden 4x10's. Had to sell that stuff to pay rent in college. Now that I have a real job I decided to buy another SVT3 this one is from 2006. I also bought a brand new 610HLF to go with it. I thought about buying some Eden cab's again but I thought I would go all Ampeg this time. I really love the sounds I can get out of this amp. Now I just need to find a band so I can gig this thing.

Here's my modular kit. I sometimes use it with my G-B NeoX 212T as well.

I guess with just this small group, we'll just need a 12-pack for the party... ;-)

These photos need to be updated, and to be honest - I've been gigging my new PF500 quite a bit lately - but here's my 3-Pro rigs. I mounted the 3-Pros in CL housings and added light bulbs just for show.

For me, it's a 2001 SVT3-Pro into a 410HLF or 610HLF depending on the venue.

I love the flexibility of this rig!!

I have a question for al svt 3 users: i found used one for 620eu. Looks nice, sound is nice, but is it loud enaugh for a medium-big size gigs (and i don't want to push it to its limits)?

That all depends on your cab. It gets as loud as any other 450w head. I always had plenty of volume using it into an 810 or 410. Never used anything smaller when I had it, though.

Original owner of a 1994 SVT-III PRO. (Been using it all these years BTW, Gigs, rehearsals, never let me down)!

Used many different cabs over the years but currently I'm running an Eden D410XLT

I own one currently. It sounds great and I like it, but GAS struck. It may be going on the block after I get my svt-II preamp in today. Man this site will make ya change gear and have uncontrollable GAS.

I'm using a 1997 model with a Genz Benz NeoX-212T cabinet. I have a question for other svt-3pro users. Mine seems to have a slight bit of overdrive to it even with the preamp gain low and master up, and the peak light is not lit up. It's not bad, but some of what I do could really use a completely clean tone. Is that normal or even the "Ampeg" sound?

Mine doesn't do it. Might be time for a retube or someone might have put a hot tube in v1 (if you got it used).

Thanks. I might have to have the bias checked out too.

With all due respect, I disagree - IME, the following amps are all quite a bit louder than the SVT3Pro, yet share similar ratings:

G-K 700rb-II
G-B GBE600
Peavey Tour 450
Peavey T-Max

I have had my svt 3pro for over fifteen years and have spent less than $200 in repairs. My main cab is a 410hlf.

Is that a custom head box, or one of those that Ampeg put out in the early 90's?
