Svt 4 pro with multiple cabinets

Just acquired an svt 4 pro and have a few q's.

Have an 810e. We downtune a lot for heavy sludge and thought of adding a 410hlf in stereo mode (or maybe two of them on one side) since I love how low freq they go.

Would running stereo with 810e on one side and 410hlf on the other work/sound ok and be as loud or louder than just the 810 mono bridged? Would I have to worry about blowing out the 410hlf since it has a lower wattage rating? Would be nice if each side had it's own volume.

If I went wild and had two 410hlf on one side would that work since it'd be two ohms on that side compared to 4 ohms on the 810 side? I assume the 4pro can handle different values on each side Or at that point would I maybe want to bail the 810 since I like the 410 hlf sound a bit more, and just run one 410 on each stereo side?

Or maybe do bi amp mode, running the lows to the 410(s)... Have a lot to learn about the 4pro.

Looks like bi amp mode might be the trick since can control the crossover frequency and the balance level for each side. The "full range/low" might be most appropriate.

Ya, full range cabs aren't the best candidates for crossing over. You can do it, just wouldn't get optimum results. Might ask Justin Meldal-Johnsen what he did. He ran an 810e and a 410hlf into a 4 Pro when he was in Ima Robot.

How

How would I contact him?

I saw a post with his rig and it had two svt 4 pros for that band. So maybe it was just one per head.

Could be, or one could have been a backup. How do you contact him? Scroll down to the Ask A Pro forums.

I would personally suggest running just the 810e on bridged mono (with the correctly wired speaker cable) if that isn't enough for you, then try playing around with adding the 410hlf's but from my experience that amp likes to run mono bridged and is best into a single 40hm cab, and running 1 or even two hlf's off of one side isn't enough to actually drive those power hungry low efficiency cabs.
