SVT 7 Cab Suggestions

Hi guys. I Just sold the 8x10 refrigerator since I don't have much practical use for it anymore (no more band touring & the new baby doesn't like the sound of ol' beasty). I'm looking at different cab options and would love some general suggestions from current svt 7 users. I currently have an old GK 410 blx (free) that I can't turn past 1/8 of the way on the volume knob because I know it will melt. I works great by myself when trying to be quiet but I want something portable that can handle this amp at normal levels. I generally prefer the sound of 10's and was thinking of 2 2x10's just for ease of transportation when I don't need both for a live gig setting, but any suggestions would be great.

I would look at a Greenboy bassic 15, or a fEARless 115. Either is going to school any commercial 210, and isn't going to melt with the power your amp can produce.

I recently sold off my fidge as well.. I am currently using 2 GK neo 115's. The Gk 15's are a big change from the 810 but I am diggin em'. Ampeg has their pro neo series, and I believe mesa has a new line up of cabs (traditional series). Heck there is so much out there right now. BTW, how are you liking the 7 pro...I have been thinking of gettin one.

Thanks for the input guys. Think I'll have to make a trip and experiment with some 15s. As far as the 7 Pro goes, I absolutely love it. I previously had a LM iii combined with a Sansamp for the SVT tone and thought I'd never part. Got a great deal on the 7 and haven't had any GAS since. Easy to eq and sounds so smooth on my P bass. This thing really shines with volume and since I don't have a cab that can handle any, I've been pretty sad. My wife and baby thank me though!

^^HMMMM...Very interesting, I am using a LM3 and sansamp with 2 GK neo 115's. I might have to sell some gear and get me a 7 pro....haha.

The 7PRO would pair up well with a wide variety of cabs I would think. Just try some different cabs out and go with what sounds best to you.
