SVT 7Pro > Apogee Jam > GarageBand?

I want to get the town from my SVT 7 Pro onto my computer via Apogee Jam, Is it safe to do? I'm assuming that the apogee jam is designed for an instrument level signal and I'm worried that the signal coming out of the SVT 7 might be too hot, thoughts?

Use the DI, effects loop, or pre out. Do not use the speaker out.

Ya, just go out of the XLR out in the 7 Pro and tweak the level. Easy.

Okay great, I figured It wouldn't be a problem but I just wasn't sure about the signal strength coming out, thanks everyone! This is why I love TalkBass, so many knowledgable people who are willing to help out fellow bassists!

Hey, curiosity question, if you have an interface for your bass, why do you want to bring the physical amp into it?

Running into GarageBand and I don't really like any of the amp simulators on there, mot to mention that the SVT 7 Pro tone is awesome!

Sounds better and allows tweaking.

So last night I wanted to record a few tracks and I didn't have an XLR to 1/4" so I ended using the headphone jack to my apogee via a short instrument cable, seemed to work ok actually.
