SVT bias

Can someone tell me what the range is on the bias of a 70s SVT.Also are both sides supposed to be equal.
And are there certain NOS preamp tubes that make a difference over others in these amps?
After years of disgust in the sound and lack of volume in my backup amp the top got smacked hard enough to jiggle a loose connection and the amp started working right.
Now to find the culprit,replace some microphonic tubes, and re bias it.

Hi.

I don't have the exact figures ATM, but IIRC: 73mA per side, balanced within +/- 1mA was on the sticker inside the chassis.

If there's loose connections/solder joints, or oxidation related connection problems, a thorough inspection by a competent tech would be my suggestion.

A cap change is most probably long over due as well, so that should be included on the repair.

My personal experience about SVT's isn't deep enough to suggest any spesific tubes, but Mullards have served me very well in other amps.
